Pupils / students are welcome at Lentink
Students who are working on their (technical) future are always welcome at Lentink.
Lentink's doors are open to pupils and students when it comes to gaining work experience, an internship or a temporary or permanent workplace. As a company, we will where possible (technically) facilitate (young) people in achieving their personal goals that are in line with Lentink as a company.
A visit to our production location in Varsseveld can always be achieved by means of an appointment with a small or large group of enthusiastic students. Several times a year Lentink is spontaneously approached by students from a technical (high) school to advise them and help them support their projects. These types of gatherings are often a fun way for both to share old and new technologies.
Last month Lentink was approached by students from the Almende college Havo / VWO in Silvolde. They were working on a project with the theme “tension”. Like most companies, Lentink has its own emergency response team. At Lentink, the emergency response team is led by Bob Kerver. Bob and his emergency response team ensure that all rules regarding safety and prevention are observed in and around the company. Bob also gained experience with various fire brigades in different cities.
The three students, consisting of Chaeyenne, Anna and Daria, had prepared themselves well by writing down the questions in advance. There had also been contact between Chaeyenne and Bob regarding the content of the interview and also the request to bring some attributes with them, so that they could take a closer look.
October 27 was the day of the interview. After a round of introductions and a short introduction, the three young ladies were positively surprised that Bob had actually brought the necessary fire brigade equipment. Based on his personal experience, Bob was able to answer with great enthusiasm all the questions that were asked by the ladies in turn on the subject of “tension”. Bob then gave an explanation about his fireman's suit and other attributes, and what these should all be able to withstand.
After the interview, the ladies were able to view the necessary safety provisions within Lentink in practice during the guided tour by Bob.
The three ladies thanked Bob for the interview and Bob indicated that he thought it was a good conversation, not too long but focused on the subject. He therefore hopes that the ladies will receive a good grade for their report.
The three ladies thank Lentink again for the time made available to them, and Bob again for the open conversation.
