To all customers, suppliers and employees,

2021 is almost over and that's why we want to pause again, just like in previous years, by means of a short summary of some topics. What has kept us busy this year and what are we going to put our shoulders to Lentink in the coming year?

At the beginning of February, the winter suddenly started to pose a real challenge for Lentink. A thick layer of snow caused too much mass on many roofs, including Lentink. The weight of the snow heaps caused the most inconvenience, and the roofs had to be cleared of snow immediately. The roof was relieved as much as possible with all possible effort. This also ensured that the building was provided with a completely new roof in the late summer. In the meantime, of course, production continued as usual. Currently, the new roof is also being fitted with a heating system, as seen in countries such as Austria, which thaws the snow as soon as it falls on the roofs.

Around the summer period it seemed that we would gradually leave the Covid era, but the opposite turns out to be true and we are still dealing with that, unfortunately.

Last year was another good year for Lentink, despite that, it was a year of running and standing still, an even more hectic and chaotic year than ever before. This was mainly caused by the poor availability of almost all of our materials and products to be purchased and the erratic purchase pattern of most of our customers. It is important in all of this that Lentink, partly due to the efforts of its employees, has managed to hold its own in these challenging times that will continue well into the new year! Partly because our management has personally guaranteed the raw materials for its customers day in day out, not a single customer has actually experienced any problems as a result of the lack of plate materials such as; sheet steel, aluminum or stainless steel. Partly because of this, the products produced by Lentink could be delivered to its customers on time throughout the year without stagnation. Unfortunately, the prices for raw materials cannot be influenced by Lentink. They have risen significantly in price. And as everyone has been able to experience this year, Lentink and his employees will continue to do everything they can to continue to supply their customers with quality products and on time. Also under these Covid related circumstances.

In 2021 we invested heavily in our buildings and machinery, which can also be seen literally within Lentink. We were also able to add several new large projects to our order book this year. And let's not forget that Lentink has achieved its CSR status of platinum this year, of which we are all very proud. Thanks in part to orders and positive results, we will continue to pursue the line of investments in 2022, provided it is responsible! For 2022, several new projects are waiting for us with which we have already taken the first steps. We would like to thank our customers for the many years of trust in our company.

Just as important is a moment of reflection and relaxation for all of us. Due to all the rules regarding Covid, it is not easy for us in business and certainly privately. In this period when it seems that there is only negativity in the world, being with our relatives and friends becomes even more important than before. And what period is better for that than Christmas. Nevertheless, we are going to make it a good and healthy year again at Lentink.
