Alderman Janine Kock is very interested in Lentink solar panels.
Alderman Janine Kock recently visited Lentink in Varsseveld. The company, which is one of the few companies in the Benelux with 26 very large production presses, of which six 400-ton presses and three 700-ton presses, recently installed a large sunroof of 23,000 m3 over the entire company. Lentink in Varsseveld is the largest supplier of housings for central heating boilers in Western Europe. Think of Bosch, Vaillant, Remeha, Nefit and Atag. From the fireplace and stove industry in the mid-1960s, the company has steadily grown into a supplier of the latest and most sustainable heating systems, including hybrid and heat pumps.
Lentink has grown into one of the leading suppliers in the field of high-tech sheet metal processing. About 150 employees work there. The company has recently completed a major sustainability operation: it has installed 3,700 solar panels on the roof. Possibly more to come in the future. With this, the company generates 1.6 million kWh annually, or 60% of its energy requirement. That is enough to supply approximately 640 homes with electricity throughout the year.
Sunny Companies Achterhoek 2022
Just like in 2019, 2020 and 2021, the Sunny Businesses Achterhoek project of the Agem offers opportunities for entrepreneurs. The municipality supports this project. Zonnige Bedrijven Achterhoek helps entrepreneurs install solar panels on their roofs. Entrepreneurs can get free advice on whether installing solar panels is financially and constructively possible. They can then apply for an SDE subsidy (Incentive Scheme for Sustainable Energy Production) from the central government, with which the government subsidizes the additional price.
